Dr. Lakshmi Anubrolu, M.D.

Dr. Anubrolu received her medical degree from Guntur Medical College in India and completed her Internal Medicine residency at St. Joseph Hospital affiliated with Northwestern University in Chicago.

She worked as a Primary Care Physician managing an Alzheimer’s unit in one of the long term facilities in Joliet.  She has also worked as a Hospitalist prior to joining the Pfeiffer team.

Growing up in India, Dr. Anubrolu had many personal experiences with nutrients and supplements. During her medical school training and internship, she had the opportunity to diagnose and treat many nutritional deficiencies first hand. She strongly believes that nutrition is the key element for good health.

Dr. Anubrolu has a daughter and a son, Ankita and Neal, and husband Hari. Hobbies include gardening, reading and social networking with family and friends.

She feels blessed to be a part of the healing process in her patients’ lives and help them sail towards a better life.

Karriann Longtin, M.S.N., C.P.N.P.-A.C., Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Karriann is a pediatric nurse practitioner with certification in the care of children with acute and chronic medical conditions. Karriann earned her undergraduate degree from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois and later received her Master’s of Science in Nursing from Rush University’s College of Nursing in Chicago, Illinois. After almost a decade as a clinical nurse, she worked as a pediatric nurse practitioner in a family practice office. Karriann joined the Pfeiffer Treatment Center medical staff in the spring of 2009.

As an adult with ADHD, Karriann is uniquely prepared to comprehend the obstacles and rewards that each patient and family faces and thrives on seeking creative strategies and innovative treatments to optimize treatment outcomes.

Karriann is married with two daughters, Gabriella and Sophia. She enjoys reading, knitting and Tang Soo Do karate.

She believes that every person has a gift that makes them vital to the world around them. Karriann is privileged to touch the lives of her patients and to help them share those gifts with others.

Patricia A. Morgan, M.S.N., A.N.P.-B.C. – Director of Clinical Operations

Patricia Morgan, a board certified Adult Nurse Practitioner, comes to Pfeiffer Treatment Center with over 20 years of nursing experience encompassing pediatrics, adult medical/surgical, emergency, and gastrointestinal nursing.  She has over five years of Advanced Practice Nursing as both Coordinator and Provider for an Employee & Occupational Health department in a hospital in the western suburbs of Chicago and with a Rheumatology and Pain Management practice in Schaumburg, Illinois.

Patricia earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Northern Illinois University where she also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant with nursing students.  She is credentialed as an Adult Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) since 2003.

Patricia has two sons and a daughter, Christopher, Brian, and Elizabeth, and husband Tom.  When not working she enjoys her family and three grandchildren, Makayla, Isabella, and River.  Hobbies include biking, long distance running, cross stitch, and reading.

She is excited and proud to be on the Pfeiffer team and considers it a genuine opportunity to actually make a difference in her patient’s lives.

A.J. Russo, Ph.D. - Research Director

As Research Director of Pfeiffer Treatment Center, Dr. Russo brings over 30 years of research experience to the Center. His bachelors’ degree in Biology is from Hobart College in Geneva, NY. His Masters in Biology and Ph.D. in Experimental Pathology are from Roswell Park Memorial Institute, a division of the State University of New York in Buffalo. After graduate school he did post docs as a staff fellow at the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Neurology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the Department of Dermatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, before becoming a professor and researcher at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Maryland. He was the Class of 1964 Endowed Professor before retiring in 2008. His research over the past seven years has focused on studying autism.

Dr. Russo has two sons, Alex and Travis, and wife, Megan. His hobbies include watching lacrosse games, biking and writing.
