HRI Pharmacy grew from a need to assist PTC patients with locating prescribed nutrients. Treatment programs consist of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, etc. Often these are difficult to find in the correct form and dose.

HRI Pharmacy Compounding Service arose from a need to assist PTC patients with compliance in their prescribed treatment programs. The programs usually consist of numerous pills. We can now combine the supplements into fewer capsules at more precise dosages.

HRI Pharmacy is a member of several professional pharmacy organizations. It is staffed by well-trained, knowledgeable, dependable personnel including registered pharmacists and registered pharmacy technicians. HRI Pharmacy is dedicated to serving the nutrient supplement needs of the patients of PTC. HRI Pharmacy and the PTC are owned and operated by the Health Research Institute, a not-for-profit corporation based in Naperville, Illinois

HRI Pharmacy is guided by 4 principles: Compliance, Quality, Convenience, and Cost.

COMPLIANCE     Without compliance there is no benefit to the patient. Compounding the treatment program minimizes the number of capsules needed each day, making compliance easier. Capsule size can also be tailored to the individual. Benefits of the treatment program will not be realized if the supplements stay in a bottle on a shelf. The other three principles all support compliance.

QUALITY     HRI Pharmacy provides cost-effective, high quality supplements based upon current scientific knowledge from nutrition experts, not following the latest fad. The nutrients used in compounding are all of USP(United States Pharmacopeia) grade or the equivalent. Quality control procedures throughout the compounding process assure a high quality product. Supplement forms are carefully considered when the treatment program is written. The patient’s allergies, ability to swallow, and likes/dislikes of flavors are all considered.

CONVENIENCE     Our service is just that. Being affiliated with the PTC allows us to conveniently maintain the patient-physician-pharmacist relationship. We have an 800 phone number, fax, dependable staff, payment options, and fast, courteous service and delivery.

The Compounding Service is dedicated to providing the highest quality, individualized compounded nutrient supplements to assist you. To do this we review your treatment program for allergies, discuss compounding options with you, contact the prescribing physician, if needed, and compound your program.

HRI Pharmacy works closely with the PTC. Changes in your treatment program will be passed along to HRI Pharmacy for convenience in filling your next prescription.
